1993 – Laying the Foundation
Hotel Felix opens its doors alongside the "Zur Post" restaurant, welcoming our very first guests with an initial capacity of 28 beds. From day one, we set high standards: featuring excellent technical equipment for events of all kinds and a restaurant kitchen dedicated to everything from a quick business lunch to fine dining for special occasions.
1999 – A Pit Stop for Professionals
Just in time for the major Tour of Germany, we complete our first expansion, growing to 64 beds across 33 rooms. In a memorable highlight, professional cyclists from France and the Netherlands are among the first to use the opportunity to unwind and recover from their grueling stages in our newly expanded ambiance.
2003 – A Decade of Hospitality
Hotel Felix celebrates its 10th anniversary. By now, both the hotel and restaurant have earned an outstanding reputation among leisure and business travelers alike. To honor this success, we streamline our branding and rename the restaurant simply to "Felix." As demand happily continues to soar, space becomes tight once again. Our answer: drafting plans for the next big leap.
2005 – Space for New Ideas
Following a brief and intensive construction phase, Hotel Felix reveals an even more spacious layout: 37 rooms with a total of 72 beds are now available. New, versatile conference spaces expand our corporate event capabilities, while a large conservatory invites sun seekers to relax, even on chilly winter days. This growth was made possible above all by the incredible loyalty of our returning guests.
2018 – An Oasis in the Green
We shift our focus outdoors and completely redesign our gardens. With an expanded terrace, a picturesque pavilion, and our tranquil koi pond, we create a peaceful oasis right in the heart of our grounds.
2020 – Fresh Energy for the Restaurant
We embrace a time of change: our formerly rustic restaurant receives a comprehensive design update. Through a complete renovation, we create a stylish, contemporary ambiance that perfectly blends fine culinary experiences with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Present & Future – Standing Still is Not an Option
For us, hospitality means continuous evolution. In recent years, we have invested heavily in guest comfort: with state-of-the-art digital infrastructure, large Smart TVs in every room, and a tailored recategorization into cozy Standard and extra-spacious Comfort rooms, we carry the rich tradition of Hotel Felix into the modern era. Ensuring that tomorrow, just as today, you will always feel right at home.
